Stand aside Mirth, another Bill Murray imitator has revealed himself.

This is an outstanding YT channel put together by retired F-14 RIO, Ward Carroll. He is very knowledgeable and does a great job with his videos (he doesn't bore you to sleep). After watching a number of his videos, I'm tempted to back his Patreon.

It's wild that these are still in service and exercising with NATO

I remember seeing a model of a lead assembly ship in a scale modeler magazine when I was very young. It was covered in polka dots and had less than standard national insignia. My immediate reaction was WTF? until I read the article by the modeler.

I have some aviation history books with some photos of those ships. A damned clever idea when you think about it.

Thanks for sharing the picture.

Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

Ok, I have to know. How many watts is the F-14's radar putting out? Are we talking microwave popcorn, or flaming death-beam?

Ok, yeah, 500 watts average, 10,000 watts peak. That'll defrost your Salisbury Steak.
