My grievances fall into two categories:
Category the Firste:
A) Fifteen scenarios, encompassing the most basic in the game.
B) No skirmish
C) No scenario editor
D) No MP
E) Please read "D" again
Category the Seconde:
You all know, I think, how much I love C&C. I've now taught it for two years running at Origins and will be having a C&C-palooza at my house for my birthday.
I don't know, though, what the draw is to play this system on the PC? Leave that for FoG -- and infinitely better game than this looks to be -- and leave C&C for fine face-to-face TTG adventures.

;D
That took longer than I expected.

This, even if it had MP, is the crux of it.

Do I take it then that the PC version compares unfavourably to the board game version?
-
The reviews on Steam aren't good at all.
-
Not that I've played any of the C&C games at all.

Not played the PC version, yet, but don't let Jim's rant derail you. It looks like a straight port of the board game, which som people don't like because it can feel dry/sterile. If you want to play solo it's probably fine.... unless it's a bug ridden mess....
-
Seriously, if you really, really want to play C&C on-line, play on Vassal or TTS.
I wouldn't really care to do either, but do that instead of giving them money for what is proving bug-ridden junk.
-
...and, to make matters perfectly clear, just play FoG2.
Get all the expansions and you can play that system until Hell won't have it.
-
But...that's already a game...

Indeed it is.
I own it.
And at a certain point, you can play FoG2 so much it won't have it.
Not there yet, but, conceptually, the prospect is there.
