Pop nukes in Twilight: 2000 ~ Surviving Nuclear War Amongst Conspiracies

Quote
Though some may look at the game setting as quaint alternate history, a closer study reveals the world building of T2K taps into several popular culture themes where, while the “history” of the game has changed since 1984, the campaign framework of survival, nuclear war, and conspiracy remains timeless.

Nice write-up. I loved the original T2K - I made many homebrew adventures, rolled up dozen of characters, and even GMed a few sessions with friends. (That's typical of most of my role-playing through my life - very little actual play, but a lot of enjoyable prep and dreaming.)

“Good luck. You’re on your own now.” - Those words have always haunted me.

I'd love to find an online T2K group - but haven't been able to find one that fits my schedule on Startplaying.

Boomer Busting in Twilight: 2000 4th Edition – Hostile Waters

Quote
I recently backed the forthcoming major supplement Hostile Waters and received the digital book. What I found inside both excites and disappoints me.

A boomer in the Baltic and a CVN in Stockholm harbor, months before it was commissioned.

I expect to see an Aegis cruiser in the Vistula River next?

I just got a shipment notification from Free League for, I think, the Black Madonna. It said that I was charged $438!

I assume I was charged 438 of whatever currency Free League uses (Swedish, I think, or maybe Polish).

The "fun" of preordering and forgetting!

I got the same thing, but it's conveniently the same amount I'd paid for them, so it's all square :)

But yeah, the $438 scares the shit out of you at first ;D

Semi-related, I just received an email from GMT that said my order for Virgin Queen was about to ship. I don’t remember ordering it.  ;D

I recently backed Compass Games' Zeppelin Raider 2nd Edition on Kickstarter, thinking "This game sounds right up my alley!"

Yesterday I was moving some boxes out of storage and came across a USPS box I'd never opened. Inside was a copy of the original Zeppelin Raider.

Do I keep my pledge with all it's updates and sell the original or do I cancel and put the original up on the bookcase with all my other hermetically sealed copies of games I'll play when I win the lottery and don't have to work anymore?

Every few months or so, I go through my GMT P500 page to clear out any duplicate orders. There usually are one or two...
