Vikings? Yes. Open World? Yes. Crafting? Yes. Survival? Yes. Fight ancient Norse monsters? Yes. Basically a litany of things I enjoy.
It took me a couple of hours to figure out how to build effectively. Its not the easiest building tool design to use but it does get easier. And yes, it can be slightly frustrating when pieces don't lock into place.
After 12 hours of messing around building, fighting, collecting resources, and getting stuck in the middle of a lake on a raft for an hour trying to get back to shore...I really, really like the game. It pulls me in the same way 7 Days to Die does.
Next up to figure out...breed boars, make a honey farm, kill the first boss to unlock more technology, and go troll hunting.
It's the best $20 I have spent on a video game in a long time.
