I kickstarted DVG's Warfighter WWII Pacific and it showed up in the mail yesterday.  Haven't had a chance to do much other than have a quick look through all the cards in the base set (I also added a bunch of extra decks for the base game but haven't opened any of those yet).   Hopefully I'll get a chance to get to it on Monday or Tuesday.

I should be getting that soon too. I can't wait to play it.  :bigthumb:

I received a copy of it as well, along with a butt-ton of expansion card packs. I haven't had time to even open it yet. My son just got here late last night so maybe he'd be interested in giving it a spin though I doubt it - he's not much of a gamer. :(

I'd recommend going through your order and double checking that you received everything.  I'm missing one deck short from my order (US Airborne), missing one deckbox divider,  and have some cards from the core set that didn't print correctly.

Miniature Market has it for $44 with a $6 shipping option.

aaaaand that was that.

Thanks a lot...

got a tracking update on my copy. Should be here Friday. Not bad since I chose the "slow" shipping option.

I trying to decide between Path of Glory or Empire of the Sun to delve into next. Empire of the Sun has a solo-gamer option and there is a decent variant for Path of Glory. The real purpose it to work through the rules to teach a friend and of course justify the expense.

I am leaning in that direction, but I recently read some World War I books and visited the museum.

I just didn’t jive with the Empire rules and game play. Looks great and rules are straightforward... but just didn’t click....

Cards don’t belong in real man war games.  :P

I don't disagree with that. The proliferation of card mechanics in war games is disappointing.

I tend to agree with that, but there again, I'm an old traditionalist.
