Cards don’t belong in real man war games.  :P

Huh, I don't know about that. We should look for some real men and ask them.

I finally finished painting up my mid-late war stuff for Tanks (still got all the desert stuff to do) so we decided to have a quick bash.  Soviets attacking a German bunker.

Soviet initial moves.

German initial moves

The StuG and the PzKw IV took on the SU-85 and lost.  They both brewed up on ammo explosion crits.

The SU-152 tried to stay hidden in hopes of being able to get close and rock the bunker with some HE but it wasn't to be.  It lost a track while crossing between cover and the Jadgpanther made short work of it after that.

The Jagdpanther was absolutely deadly in this game, knocking out 3 of the 5 Soviet units and taking only slight damage in return.

The IS-2 tried taking on the Jadgpanther and a Panther G at the same time.  It knocked the Panther out in a few hits but got hammered by the return fire and died early.

German victory with the Pagdpanther barely damaged and the bunker untouched.  StuG, Panther, and PzKw IV dead.  Soviets lost all 5 vehicles.  SU-85, SU-152, T-34-85 x 2, and IS-2.

I enjoy playing  card driven wargames. The GMT games are well designed and cover a wide range of wars .  More importantly they don’t require a huge table and can be completed in a long game session or two.

Does it go on top of the pile or at the bottom?

I should think that the ones on the bottom of the pile are in serious danger of being crushed by the weight of the ones above  >:D
