I envy those who enjoy painting. I never could enjoy it. I'm too much of a perfectionist to not paint things to a level beyond what the game needs, and too impatient to paint an entire army that way. I always felt like the painting was getting between me and the game.

That drove me to 2mm...which I've proceeded to over paint and therefore never finish...

I'm finally getting over the perfectionist hurdle.  Still working on my Cruel Seas stuff but I've gotten to the point where I'll just slap paint on, do a bit of shading and weathering and call it good enough for the table.

Excellent = I'll be interested to hear about that in due course. So, you could come back with a few additions to the collection..........

Lots of angels! So I’m happy.

Most people are Mirth. They don’t care. They just want to play with toys.

I care though.  It's odd.  I think because I spend most of my time looking at the models up close through magnifying glasses that I worry over minor mistakes.  I also tend to use very muted colour palettes and shades that are subtle.  When the models are out on the table and viewed from 2 feet away, they just look like a uniform blob.

I care too but it can also cause stress. What really need to buy is the Vallejo Model color case. I use the Game color line which is great but I think too bright for historical minis.

This, exactly.

Played two games of Flash Point last night with my kids and daughter's boyfriend.

Today playing SpaceCorp with them. Might get to Black Orchestra later.

Got those from Print n Play Games to replace the wooden cubes. Much more thematic.
