OK, so here's a list of all the Twilight Struggle cards

https://twilightstrategy.com/card-list/

Your challenge?

What's an event that didn't happen, but could have, and what kind of card would you create for it?

For instance what would an "Israeli Nuclear Test" card have on it if they successfully tested their own nuke either out in the middle of the ocean, or at a test ground provided by someone like South Africa?

Twilight Struggle ends before the historical collapse of Yugoslavia, but it's not like the ethnic tensions were there before 1991.  What would a "Yugoslavian Turmoil" card look like as a mid-war card?
(gray card, 2 ops, but how to change influence, since both sides had their hands in the cookie jar working with different sides?  Maybe they both get tied up with 2 influence each, but it's permanently out of play and both sides are now reduced by 2 available influence to play anywhere else)

If you were going to include some sort of "Rock Music" card to acknowledge the western bands like Iron Maiden that were touring behind the Iron Curtain in the 80s, what would that card look like?
(maybe a blue one with just 1 op, but adds 1 US influence to any one of Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, or Romania)

There's no Falklands War card.
What if South Africa devolved into a civil war?
Chinese invasion of Vietnam is more successful?

What do you think some events are that could've happened, or did but aren't in the game, that could/should be in TS?

The music card would HAVE to be 'Winds of Change' given the meaning of that song for German unification and the special effort made for the Scorpions to play that in Moscow.  It's also a song everyone 35+older knows regardless of their home nation.

*Cuban Missile Crisis - Depth Charge Go Boom: What if a US DD actually used a depth charge on a Soviet sub?  Certainly that'd move the defcon to just short of war--at the very least.
*Do You Believe in Miracles? - Raises US influence/decreases Soviet in hockey-playing nations.
*Atoms for Peace - Can't be played after the U2 incident.   ...what if Eisenhower had been able to have this proposal put out there AND taken seriously?
*USSR recognizes Israel before the US --ultimately, the main reason the US recognized Israel was to keep the USSR from gaining a Mideast foothold (since we took Arab support for us for granted)--the subject of my first primary source research paper!
