I'm not familiar with the game, so...

It's not like there's a whole thread on it...

Oh, wait.

Cool.

Sorry bbmike, if the game was mentioned in/on 'Worst Enemy' or elsewhere (besides the thread I just now ran across) I missed it. I'll try to catch up, I really will.

Sheesh...this hasn't been updated in a while.

I was half way through the rules for Fields or Fire 2 and I decided I wanted to play something familiar. I remembered this game - RAF:The Battle of Britain 1940 by Decision Games.

Why this one? The rules were super easy to follow and understand. I can't remember any time I was left in two minds as to what I should be doing. There's a Sequence of Play ( complete one) in the manual and each sequence has a number for the section in the manual it refers to - and everything you need regarding that particular sequence is there - exactly where it should be.

Last time I played this I played the one day training scenario. This time, I'm going for the full Eagle (German) campaign. It says 14 hours in the manual. I'm thinking it might be on my table for a bit longer than that.

Come on RAF - show me what you've got.

Just finished "Splendid and the Vile" by Erik Larson and this is up first this weekend!!

I put The Barbarossa Campaign (by VPG) on my table finally, to learn. I also have Warp's Edge to play some more of as well.

You should give the old SPI/TSR Barbarossa a try, Its actually not a bad game at all.

Ha, I had TSR's Barbarossa a few years ago. I think I sold it before the big move - never played it, it was just too big. Division-scale with variable strength counters, if I remember right - way too many counters to deal with. But yeah, the scale fascinated me. Too bad I never gave it a spin.

I remember you saying that you had it, but didn't know you had since parted with it. But yes, it is a 2-mapper and did need quite a long playing time. The scale was actually Corps/Army.
