The first GW tabletop purchase I've made since getting the original Warhammer Quest back in the '90s.

Hope I've not gone mad 'cuz GW shit ain't cheap.   :sigh:

The 40k themed WHQuest style dungeon crawl was enough to bypass my wariness, though.  Despite having vowed to never buy another huge boardgame requiring assembly of a large number of minis again.  After the troublesome trials of doing so with the two Shadows Of Brimstone core sets a few years ago, and their occasionally mismatched parts which needed to be carefully shaved down in order to be fit & glued together, I had practically sworn off such future propositions.

And then they went and made this damn thing.  "Join Usssss", they says.  "It will only hurt for awhile" they says.  But damn, does it look good, and primed for solo/co-op indulgence.       Looks like I'll be knocking the rust off my paint brushes.

That's what I said about Gloomhaven!  :D

Hell, they don't even come assembled.  It's GW.  They make you pay in so many ways.   "We have such sights to show you."   >:D

I could still probably get all the Blackstone minis snipped, assembled, and tokens sorted, before getting all of Gloomhaven's cardboard punched & sorted into Plano boxes.  :worried:  Don't die from all the cardboard dust inhalation!

This is partly why I haven't tried to play Gloomhaven yet.

The other reason is, Legacy-type games scare me, and this one is a penultimate Legacy game. I'll get to it eventually but I'm going to need a couple of days where I have nothing to do, and that'll be a while.

Yeah, I picked this up as well. They're snap-fit figures, which is the only reason I went in (I do not possess the patience for minis construction). They actually went together fairly easily for the most part. The game is now sitting somewhere in the giant heap of "I'll get to this, eventually".  ;D ::)
