That said, I think it's time to call this one a marginal victory for the South.

They're unlikely to break the Union and there's little chance now that the Union can catch up in casualties.

Once again, a fascinating "big battle" and many salutes to those who played on both sides.

Back to D'Erlon's Attack next week!
