Not really, but it did seem as if my steamguard had not worked as it should. We found out later that the phone I had at the time was a Windows phone, and it seems that there was/is an on-going problem with not being able to download the app correctly. I have since changed to an android and now it seems to work ok.
The same think happened to Den and for the same reason, again, now fixed.
It was a nightmare because to raise a ticket, we kept being told to log onto our account, which of course we couldn't do. Fortunately, we were able to contact the help desk via each others account, but I did despair of getting it sorted out. I had to prove it was me by showing them that I had paid for games through steam, which is a bugger when you can't actually log onto your account.
Whilst there are many obvious advantages to Steam, its an absolute bugger when the end falls off! Sometimes trying to actually speak to someone as opposed to a program with set, and a limited range of, questions just sends you around in circles.
I should mention that fortunately I had no money in my Steam account, and really not that many games. They did, however, dump my friends list and the groups, and joined a few other groups. In both cases, the hackers were situated 'East of Poland'...........
I'm always nervous now when I log onto Steam, just in case.
