You might want to skip this then. It is very much like the reboot in terms of "trigger hexes". I haven't replayed any of the missions so I'm not sure if the enemies always react the exact same way.

The Pacific War war game?

First edition rules were a disaster. If they have the second edition, which is supposed to be a better translation then you might take a chance on this as an updated look at what was Victory in the Pacific

Truth. I ordered the Heroes of the Pacific X-Maps and the shipping cost was more than half the price of the maps!  :tickedoff:

you probably could've asked Dave to bring them to WBC and pick them up from him there

That would involve travel. I was hoping to pick them up at Origins.  :(

This is why I don't order direct from LnLP. The shipping costs always kill it for me.

Yeah.  I added a couple of LnL expansions to the cart.  Even with the sale prices and the Kickstarter bonus coupon, it’ll still cost me more than buying from my usual guy in Calgary once shipping costs are factored in.   If I ship it to my PO Box in Washington, it’s about $10 cheaper but the border lines are getting insane right now.  I drove down yesterday to pick up some Cruel Seas minis I’d ordered recently.  2 hour wait at the border...at 1 pm on a Thursday.  No more cross border trips for me until I get my NEXUS pass.  Got my interview with DHS in August.

I wish I had a local store to buy LnLT games from. Right now I'm sitting on the fence and the only thing holding me back is the fact that shipping is almost the price of an entire game. What a bummer!

Do you have a local store to bug about possibly carrying stuff?

There's a Magic / Euro game shop in town. I've never seen a single war game in stock nor have I ever seen one being played when I go in for game night. Do you know who they use as a distributor? I'll ask if they have an account with them the next time I go in.

Not sure. I know there was a problem with a distributor under the previous ownership but I don't know if it's ever been sorted out.

I know our local wargame shop here has trouble getting stuff in stock from them and their primary business is wargames
