Title: February 15th, 2020 -- "Blucher" -- Eggmuhl Part II
Post by: Cyrano on February 09, 2020, 11:30:17 PM
"Blucher" games are popular.

Who will join Doug in defending, or opposing, the honor of the Emperor?

Vance has so willingly played musket stuff that I'd feel bad not playing this with him. It sounds like he's out this Saturday, but I'm in whenever he can play.

Maybe finish up Eckmuhl?

What time is the fight?  I am interested if you need players but I have never played Blucher.

Great, great game gents.

Huge fun.

And thanks, Jason, for showing 'round.

I will still compare others, but no other operational minis game comes close to "Blucher" for me at the moment...

Very curious to see how "Snappy Nappy" compares when I get around to it...

I was just noticing in watching other Boucher play thrus that cannons do not half their attack at long range. In your play thru you where holding onto cannon fire til they got closer because they thought the halved like skirmish fire does.

I'd have to watch again, but, as I stand here, I know that guns aren't halved at long range.  I am also presently sober.

I can remember two instances in which Mike and I chose to "keep our powder dry" and in both instances it was to avoid spending a shot before the canister bonus.  Only so many, after all...

Yep, we were holding fire to improve our chances to hit.  Arty only gets 5 shots.

Ah gotcha, definitely probably I interpreted as something else. Still was a great episode and learned alot. Liked it so much so that I ordered the rule book and cards to go with it, can't afford minis right now and my eyes for painting is not as good as they used to be. Now time to teach my boys once it comes in
