It seems logical that a skilled operator, with the careful application of a suitable blunt instrument, can, by tapping the head in the correct spot, enhance, or indeed, create, any ability desired by the tapee.

Obviously, the effectiveness of this procedure is governed by the amount of cash 'donated' by the tapee to the, erm, tapper.

I assume that the whole unlikely operation described above must be successful, since the tapper has usually rushed off to another appointment  long before the tapee has, um, recovered sufficiently to test out their new or enhanced personal traits.
