Some of y'all know that Bayonet Jr is playing eSports in college (and they're helping pay for it, too!)

One of his first big tournaments is coming up today at 1pm in a FIFA event

They'll be live-streaming it on Twitch

trying to see if this embed will work.  That's Bayonet Jr in his second match today.  So far he's 2-0.  Seems like they play a best-of-3 in each match.

edit:
never mind - didn't work for embed.

This is him on top of the standings at the end of day one.  Each 'match' is a best-of-three set of FIFA 22 games.
He lost his very first game of the day, but came back to win the match 2-1.  The only other game he's lost all day was the 2nd of his 3 against last year's champion, but then he won the 3rd game against that guy 7-0.

So far he's first in the bracket (not close) and smoking everyone in goal difference (which he was running up in case he needed it) and he's only lost 2 games and -zero- matches all day

Not bad for his first ever eSports competition

I checked the list of games the Barton College eSports team plays. Not a single wargame!?!? Where's Grigsby's War in the East? Where's World in Flames?

Okay, I know, no one except us would tune it for that kind of eSport.  ;D

Congrats to your son and I hope he continues to do as well as he did today.  :bigthumb:

he's in a tournament this weekend for FIFA

https://www.twitch.tv/bc_storm10

Won his first matchup 2 games to zero

Second matchup he isn't streaming the game screen; not sure what happened.

he's 3-1 with one more round to go.  One of those was a forfeit.  The dude he lost to is a guy he's beaten his other previous tournament and might see again in the knockout rounds of this one

he actually uses PSG for most of his FIFA competitions.  He had to play against Chelsea yesterday while wearing his Chelsea mask in the video

I'm fairly sure you're not supposed to admit that.
