It came today. It won't get to the table any time soon because I've just setup Front Toward Enemy - and I like to get at least one game (but preferrably more) before I crack into a new game.

So - here's the contents. Good looking game. Good quality counters and maps. Decent looking rule book and Play book with a huge extended play.

Box Art

Baggies and dice

Double Sided Player Aid Card (2 of these)

Another Double Sided Player Aid Card (2 of these)

Obligatory Colour Rule Book - it's paper but good quality print and example images

With an index at the back (inside cover also)

Colour Playbook
This has good rule examples (10 pages), a decent extended playthrough for infantry (8 pages), a shorter one for armour (5 pages) and 9 pages of Designer Notes

With a Unit Capability Table

A Game Tracker Card

12 Mission Cards

"Create Your Own Scenario" Sheet

4 Double Sided Counter Sheets - nice looking and pop nice and easy

6 Double Sided Maps - good looking too

And counters Standard or Clipped - I know what I prefer and I've started anyway

It looks cracking and I'm very excited about this one.

Wow great looking game. I really like the contour lines on the maps.  What is the unit and map scale for the game?

Squads if I'm not mistaken

Yeah - just checked - squads and sections.

The little number top left is the squad number and the number bottom centre is the platoon they belong to with a commander for each platoon

My copy arrived last week but I don't get to open it until my birthday on the 4th so thanks for the look inside (although, I must admit, I've watched a few YT vids by now as well). What size clipper did you use? 2.5mm?

Lovely game system, really like the continuous action from both players and focus on the "men, doctrine and tactics" instead of the "quality of equipment".

Played through the infantry missions and now going to the first one with vehicles.  ( now = once i finish the Flying Colors game I have on the table )

JD / Vance - have you guys been playing this? If so, what are your views, please.

I've only played a couple of time, both solo, and I like it. It's got a different take on what happens in a "turn".
You will like that there is actually a C&C system, in that squads belong to a platoon that has a particular leader and keeping together is part of the system.
Turns are more fluid with an Action-Reaction system, with the combat results at the end of the turn.

Well worth being in my collection.
