Title: MOGG (Mid Ohio Gamers Group) Feb 6th Meeting
Post by: Dan22Daly on February 17, 2021, 06:06:39 PM

Command & Colors Napoleonic using Lego figures on a 9 foot table.

Marginal French victory.  When we quit the game no bridges were in French hands but the British center had collapse with powerful French forces ready to cross the bridge.  On the British left neither side had much left and it all would come down to cards.  On the British right the French were pushing in force but the British were ready to receive the assault.

The French had better cards and better dice rolls.  Both sides played well.

December 1809 British in retreat. To buy time for the rest  of the army a force has been tasked with holding a river as long as  possible.

Each side has 8 command cards

4 tactic cards are given at the start of the game

20 victory banners are required for a win.

There are 3 bridges that are the French objectives(one in each sector).  When the French control a bridge they are awarded a victory banner and the British player loses a command card.  if the British take the bridge back the victory banner is lost and the British player gets is command card back

If you are ever coming through Cambridge let me know and I will buy you a dinner.  What part of Columbus?  Columbus is our home town.  We moved out here to raise kids

Parents settled in Upper Arlington once dad retired from the Army.

We usually make at least 1 trip/year for Origins, and occasionally another one every now & again.

Obvs not this past 18 months, tho :(

We don't come thru Cambridge anymore though, since we've been able to shave 90 minutes or so off the trip thru some back roads that have us coming up to Columbus from Gallipolis & Chillicothe.

That said, make sure you come hang with the Dragoons once we're able to get back to Origins for the wargaming program! :D
