I'd be interested to know as well. I'm tempted to pick up the Rommel Deluxe game at some point.

I've played both FC Rommel and FC Alexander.

There's a review of mine over at That Other SiteTM for Field Commander Rommel, which elucidates pretty much everything about the game, IMO. :)

Alexander is much the same as Rommel, except...you know...not so much halftracks and 88mm guns as sandals and swords.

I'd recommend 'em both. But, understand, they're solo games, though I can't recall offhand if there are any rules for 2-player games.

Thanks - I'm looking at solitaire games.

If you want to sell either Alexander or Rommel send me a PM.

Thanks, airboy. I might, but they're both in storage at the moment. I won't be able to get to them for at least a couple of months, unfortunately.

I like both of them but doubt I'll have time. I'll reach out to you later if you're still interested then.

I will shock no one and say that I have "FC: Napoleon".

It is lovely and the system plays very well.

I cannot stand solitaire games.  It was actually this game that convinced me of this.

...but how do you REALLY feel, Cyrano?  :D

No, seriously...that second line says you like it and that third line says you hate it. Which is it?

TL;DR:  I realized, while I was playing this very game, that while I admired what it was doing and how it was presenting it, I cannot bear solitaire games.  If you like solitaire games, this is a good one.

Gotcha.

I'd not played FC: Nappy but I figured it was very similar to the other two.

But I really like Fleet Commander: Nimitz, so what do I know.

Fleet Commander: Nimitz is a fun, solitaire game. And I forgive Cyrano for his misguided thoughts on solitaire games.

The jury's still out on forgiving mirth for his views on solitaire games.
