I've never been much in the market for minis, but recently I've been seeing posts on DVG's Corsair Leader on Facebook, with people using minis to help illustrate the game, and man but they look great.

One guy said his minis were 1/600 but the company he quoted (can't recall the name offhand) is based in the UK.

Now I'm sure there's someone here that can point me to a stateside company that produces WWII minis at about that scale (ships obviously much smaller but no idea what scale; probably something on order of the Axis & Allies War at Sea minis, but those are ridiculously expensive and there's no guarantees what you'll get).  I'm not wanting to drop too much cash on this but if the market is just normally insanely expensive, I'll just have to give it a pass.
