Realistic? Can any game make that claim - especially one that is essentially card driven?

Surely the cards represent the limited actions available to a commander whilst also allowing them to formulate a plan based on what's available?

I played Combat Commander Europe acouple of times and really liked it but it didn't play great solo due to the card process.  I have been thinking about investing in it again and implementing Stuka Joe's CDG method.

I finally got around to reading Stuka Joe's method yesterday. I can't wait to try it out. Of course, I'm already thinking of how to change it up even more.  :D

The Combat Commander games are some of my favorite wargames and it was nice to hear RMN perspective on the games. He put into coherent paragraphs some things I've enjoyed about the game but couldn't really ever intelligibly convey,

Note that I was not decrying the article or criticising the game, (yes Brant, I did read it) I was merely asking a question in order to spark debate. For the record, I have played CC a little.
