Maybe we should get a VASSAL PBEM game going.

I'll pick up a copy of the PnP version too if you want to play.

Yeah can do, also note that you can download the rules - the Vassal mod is pretty good.

Interesting. Let me get up to speed and I'll touch base.

Finally got a chance to break out the Super Star Destroyer for Star Wars: Armada.  Fun game!  The thing is a wrecking ball but very easy to get behind.  Once the Rebels get behind it, there's not much it can do but lumber forward and hope it survives the beating until the turn limit is reached because there's no way it can turn around.

It costs so many points to field that you can't give it much in the way of support.  Fortunately it has the ability to soak up a ridiculous amount of damage.  The poor Mon Calamari ship that got stuck in front was vapourized by one volley of fire.

We heard the Battle Cry of Freedom.

But Mirth was not there.

So the cry turned to sobs.

For a silent disapproval robot your outer structure appears remarkably life-like, dare I say even as if it is enjoying itself.

The review for the book says it has a lot of color pictures.. but the printer page says black and white, which is true?

This was a ton of fun. The TTS set really added to the game. It really looked like Shiloh, or at least like I imagine it looked.

I actually don't really like games.

I set up the table for tomorrow evening's game of Battlestar Galactica: Starship Battles.  I picked up the newest wave of ships over the weekend so I've been eager to play again.  I haven't played in a looong time so it's going to be a bit of a mess, I suspect.  We're using Boomer and Starbuck for the Colonials and Scar for the toasters.  They all have a ton of special abilities so trying to remember what each pilot can do is going to be a challenge.

The scenario sees two Vipers (Starbuck and a no-name Joe) escorting Boomer's Raptor as it scans asteroid bodies for fuel.  The Cylons are waiting in ambush with two Raiders (Scar and a generic) and a heavy Raider combat variant with heavy autocannons.

Interesting game but I'm out of the minis hunt for a while. Just sold my X-Wing Minis collection finally.
