Is that the guy that has the upstairs at the farmhouse set aside for a game room?

Yes. We used his downstairs space yesterday. Easier access to the kitchen and outdoors seating area. We played until about 6pm and then did dinner and the 'recriminations phase'. Finally ended close to midnight. I was fried today. 12-13 hour gaming days take a toll.

It's 15mm. That's generally what we use for 19th century gaming (everything from Napoleonics through Franco-Prussian War). The Bill Gray rules sets are derived from Fire and Fury (Civil War). Age of Eagles covers Napoleonics, Age of Valor covers FPW. It's the same basic system with variations for the period. It's easy to jump between the periods once you know the basic system.

We (me and 2 of my buddies) did a lot of ACW gaming with 15mm. Its a good scale because they are big enough to put a fair amount of detail on, but don't demand a lot of space to play.

I've got a box full of 15mm Franco-Prussian War stuff that's been tucked away for several years that just ain't ever going to get painted or based.

You don't really need a lot of detail from the minis for ACW. I know a few people who do 25-28mm ACW, but I don't see the point. The minis look great, but ACW doesn't lend itself well to skirmish gaming. And I don't want to push individual soldiers for ACW games.

I seem to remember that the last time we played we were using the 'Johnny Reb' rules. I think I still have the rulebook somewhere.

Johnny Reb III is pretty solid. The earlier versions aren't great. I prefer Fire and Fury over Johnny Reb.

Have AuZtralia on the table to get a refresher on it, going to review it for the next Solosaurus podcast this Sunday.

Played a couple rounds of Nightfighter Ace and plan on doing a few more this weekend.

Martin and I (repping Solosaurus) got on an episode of The Hungry Gamer which premieres tomorrow morning (had to leave it early so I'm sure that improved it immensely).

Then this arrived in the mail today. Already did some unboxing pics and it looks pretty awesome.
