Well given that I finally have a couple days off after a long week of work (including a crazy-busy weekend), I intend to spend it playing the games I just picked up during Steam's Lunar sale -- Warlock: Master of the Arcane, Dawn of Andromeda, and diving back into Crusader Kings II (I grabbed a bunch more DLC for it).  Woot!

Civ6 Gathering Storm and Gloomhaven. Probably more Gloomhaven since the wife's addicted to it.  :D

Having finished my work on the, 'Sir Slash Backyard Edition of Civ 6', I will be trying out the new, updated version 1.3 Operation Neva: Leningrad 1944 for TOAW 4. A real monster of a scenario for real Man's Wargame, backyard or front. So, I'll probably be busy to about 2050.  :bigthumb:

Waiting on a copy of Big Trouble in Little China to arrive Wednesday.

Meanwhile I have Panzergruppe Guderian on my table. I haven't had it on my table probably since the late 80s.

Did some Magic the Gathering with my boys (they came home or the long weekend). Flew a lot of IL2 with w8taminute and Jason P. Even team killed someone with a bomb, that was a hoot!

Curious what you think of Big Trouble... I was really tempted to get it but then held off because of the price and seeming samey re-play value....

I've been on the fence with it for a while, at least a couple of months. Gloomhaven edged out Big Trouble at Christmastime. I'm a huge fan of the movie, but couldn't pull the trigger on the Legendary Encounters version of that game, but this I could. The minis look fantastic. The board looks quite large so that might be an issue. But yeah, I'm definitely going to do a first impression piece on it.  :bigthumb:

It's a lot of fun. Two little caveats :

1. Set up for this game is way longer than it needed to be.
2. The rulebook kinda sucks. It isn't bad, it's just organized really oddly. You will find yourself searching for something. And searching. And searching.

Off to a one-day game event in Haverhill, Mass on Saturday. Heading down tonight after work with a couple buddies. Will be playing an Arracourt scenario using WW2 Spearheard miniatures rules. Should be a fun little trip.
