I'm sure we've had this conversation before, somewhere ;)

I have the base game. But I think I'll get thus to get everything. Then maybe see if any of you are up for a multiplayer game.

I don't own VI either, and I've owned every iteration of Civ since I. Even the board game and mobile game apps.

I've just heard too many bad things about it, especially the terrible AI. Has anyone's experience improved?

I've  got 1000+hours into Civ VI. The AI is not the best but this game is the best of the series. Can't wait for the new DLC . Finally weather and nature enter the game.

Well, that's encouraging. I had been waiting for a super-sale. I've not bought any computer games since I've moved out here (shocking, even to me). But times will change in a few months.

It's funny...I finally watched No Country For Old Men a few weeks ago. Good movie.

So I bought this a few weeks ago and between eye healing and being a shut-in (what else is new), I've put in a few dozen hours on it. It's actually quite enjoyable though the game can end suddenly and without warning; the tutorial does not go into a lot of detail about how to play, so a lot of the nuances of the game seem to pretty much be left to the player to figure out. For example, I just lost a game as Japan; America was my ally and was overrunning Civs left and right. I was slowly building my infrastructure and military to take him on, and he declared war on me without warning. I managed to take a city from him that he took from the French (and I liberated it for the French, whom had disappeared from the planet, but their leader was NOT appreciative). I took another ex-French city and kept it. Right about them the populace of my capitol revolted due to lack of Amenities (I thought there were enough), which spawned two tanks next to that city. A few turns later and pfft it was done.

In any case it's fun to figure things out, though I really wish there was a Prima guide to the game like there was for V. I'm not getting the expansions until the price comes down, though I've heard one sucks and the other is great.
