Pretty sure I've mentioned it elsewhere before, but one of my ROTC classmates lost her husband in the battle.  SFC Fillmore was one of the youngest E7s in the Army,  He'd met his wife Felicia (we called her "Felix") while they were both in the Army.
She was going to NC State on a Green-to-Gold scholarship for soldiers who already had 2 years of college to finish their degree and get commissioned, and come right back into the Army for a minimum of 4 years as an officer.  (NC State is the closest 'big' school to Ft Bragg; Fayetteville St is in town with Ft Bragg, but it's not a great school)
Turned out she needed 1 extra semester to finish her degree and so she was sticking around NC State for the Fall '93 semester while her husband was deployed, and he was one of the Delta guys that was killed in the battle trying to get to Super Six-Four.

Very somber.

25 years...wow.
