Is Nations at War similar to World at War but in WWII instead of '85 Europe? Same mechanics etc?

Does anyone have them and if so, what one do you prefer?

Between WaW85 and NaW? I prefer WaW85... which is odd because I’m mostly a WWII guy.

For me, the system just suits the modern setting better. Better flow, better results, etc.

Having owned and played them both,  albeit the earlier versions, would tend to agree with you.

Sorry - not between World at War 85 and Nations at War...I meant, out of the Nations at War games (modules?) which one do you prefer?

I have White Star Rising and Desert Heat. I prefer WSR. I never did get Stalin's Triumph...

Same here. I did some play testing on both Cobra and Airborne expansions and some development work on Cobra. WSR is Ok, but I really did not like Desert Heat at all. I was not impressed with the scenarios. I got tired of the system and thus never bothered with Stalin's Triumph.

No idea, since I didn't own it. As I say, I lost interest in the game system, but definitely think it suits the WaW games better.
