I forgot to add this interesting tidbit: Brad
clarified that the update was v2.6 when he first started working on it, but subsequently changed it to v3.0 after he added a bunch of new quests. I enjoy the quests in FE:LH, so reading that made me happy.
It was already great just that another update was coming with bug-fixes and improvements to AI & performance. For him to add actual content as well (including the Tower of Knowledge) is simply gravy as far as I'm concerned.
Speaking of the Tower of Knowledge, here's the Empires' version in a game I started today:
One thing I've come to really appreciate about this game (that I didn't at first) is how there's an obvious difference in motif between the Kingdoms and the Empires, yet they're still aesthetically similar enough that you can (generally) easily identify building types regardless of which faction type you're playing as. So whether you're playing as an Empire or a Kingdom, you can still recognize a Workshop, a Study, a Garden, etc. when looking at a settlement.
It's one of the many little touches -- which ultimately, perhaps aren't actually that little -- that make FE:LH such a joy to play for me.
