God help me but I want to buy this.

Would make a heckuva AAR.

if you'd come to Origins last summer, you could've played it in the shadow of an M3 tank, and decided for yourself you didn't really need it
-
Can it only be played in the shadow of an M3, or will an M4 suffice?

I suppose it can be played in whatever shadow you choose to darken your table.
However, at Origins last year, they actually drove an old M3 into the exhibit hall as a part of their demo area.

I take it M3, M4, or M1 aside, you were less than impressed with it.

To quote Cyrano:
"That game is the answer to a question that absolutely no one was asking"

Bah! He just didn't like that there were no Napoleonic Dragoon minis in the box.

Adding Napoleonics to it would have been gilding something already approaching an French brothel level of tackiness. Then you'd have a Flying Pig game.

Ouch

O snap

The urge to add that as a sig line is almost too much to resist :-)

I appreciate sense being talked into me. Thanks.
I shouldn't buy anything anyway...had to drop a lot of dough on an AZ vehicle registration today.

No one made you buy a Camaro
-
I'll bet the Camaro is a red one, and called out to B_C from some junk-strewn front yard as he passed by.
Now, after pushing the Camaro backwards for miles to roll back the odometer all it's dents and flaws are gone, and he has a new back brace...

Had nothing to do with that. Had everything to do with AZ car registration costing an arm and a leg, especially with new(ish) cars. They base the cost on a percentage of the vehicle's MSRP, not what you paid for it. I had well over $8K in discounts from the dealer so I didn't pay anywhere near MSRP for it. Highly unfair, but that's AZ for you I suppose.

Nope, the red one is gone. This one is black. ;D

If it magnetizes them, I've yet to notice.

And, on a related note, if you've not yet subscribed, you are wrong:
I don't know why these guys care about history the way they do, but I'm glad they do.

California did that, at least when I lived there 30 years ago. But I don't remember them levying a personal property tax.
Virginia, where I live now, charges the same to register a car independent of its value, but they levy an annual property tax on each vehicle. We have two old cars (15 and 17 years old) and one new truck (2 years old), and I think we paid over $600 or $800 last year, maybe even more. That's every year.

Sort of drives home the point that Pelennor Fields is really Vienna 1683. Kind of amazing how well it fits.

This is one time the community actually talked sense into me and told me NOT to buy a board game. Appreciate it. :bigthumb:
