So it's getting ready to ship.  Theoretically I have one reserved, but at 160 Euros I'm seriously thinking about backing out...

Or...  should I buy it, hold it for 6 weeks, 'til frenzy maxes out, and sell it for $500 or so and double my money?

I had no idea it was going to be 160 Euros - about $180

I was prepared to figure out how to pay $100 or so, but many, $180 is going to kick my ass, especially with my current health insurance costs...

I had the SPI  monster game 'Next War' - is this re-done version of that?

I'd buy it from you if I hadn't just sunk $200 into DVG's Warfighter PMC KS....  :idiot2:

Just looking at it on BGG. Its a big 'un!  and it looks very nice, but: Brant - would you actually play it?

ps - If the system is based on the old NW game, then I remember that the air / AAA rules were very detailed - a sub-game in its own right, and took a lot of time to play, and we usually played it with 2 players on each side. Brings back some good gaming memories though.

Well, that's the $200 question now isn't it?

I would like to think that I would, mainly because it's my target subject matter and and right up my alley for the area and scale that I enjoy playing.

But it is both expensive and gigantic. And while you can see where every dime of the purchase price is going in the components, it's still money that's not in your pocket

I've got space.  I have my own room over the garage with a 4-seater dining room table in it, and I have 2 other tables I could set up if I needed them.
