I really liked Enemy Action Ardennes. The only thing stopping me getting Kharkov is cost

Well, not every game is for everyone.

I'm interested to hear what you think of Dark Summer, it has me intrigued as D-Day is one of my favourite battles to game.
Right off the bat,  the map coordinates should be more prominent. I think it took me 30 minutes LONGER to set up just because of how utterly useless the text in the hexes is.

Looks good so though. Reading the manual, it's got LOTS akin to the 'xx games by Mark Simonitch...so it's following good stock

i won't admit to how many times I've looked at this game. Having said that, Normandy '44 is a hard to beat game on the subject.

Ditto and until now, I hadn't played either.

I don't know what made me put this on the table before Normandy '44 as I loved Holland '44. Maybe I stumbled onto a video of Dark Summer

I'm sure I have posted elsewhere in the past that Normandy '44 remains one of my most favourite games ever. I really wish that they would do an expansion to carry it on past those first 20-odd days.

not even close!  And the laughter would've been totally appropriate had the question been posed to me, too!
