initial post updated, with link to the OPORD
-
My local buddies insisted that we play our first in-person game of Here I Stand that Saturday, over my objections (but not too strenuous, as getting 6 people together on one single day is near impossible), but I will certainly be around on Friday and Sunday.

Is anyone giving a Vassal tutorial?
-
Is anyone giving a Vassal tutorial?
the boardgame bootcamp guys are doing a real-world event that weekend and are not able to join us this time
if anyone else wants to do a "how to VASSAL" session, we're happy to put it on the schedule!
-
We could start a Vassal help thread here as we do have some people such as Vance who are quite knowledgeable about it. Vance in particular had made mods for a lot of games.

It's a little late to get them into the program at this point, just b/c we're under 3 days to the start of it. I just don't really have a good place to slot them in for anything
-
OK, I'll tell him that but will alter him to any future events.

Am I the only one unfamiliar with the gaming platform "ASCIBI"? Please enlighten me. Thanks.
-
Am I the only one unfamiliar with the gaming platform "ASCIBI"? Please enlighten me. Thanks.
it's a proprietary thing developed by Ad Astra specifically for their space combat games.
No cost and no downloads - it's hosted on their own server and they'll give you the link to join it when the game starts
-
ASCIBI is a combination of 'ASCII', the American Standard Code for Information Interchange that was incapable of properly writing Año Nuevo State Park, and 'chibi', Japanese slang for "a specific style of caricature where characters are drawn in an exaggerated way: small and chubby, with stubby limbs and oversized heads."
At this point, I'm not even listening to myself.

Yep, that's us alright.

Congrats on getting the videos posted and organized so quickly.

Thanks. We kept a running tally of them as the con was going on so that made it much easier to drop them all into one post together when we were done :)
(see?! we CAN be organized at times! :idiot2: )

ACDC AAR with participant feedback is posted

By the way, I'd like to say "thanks" for the welcoming and user-friendly virtual cons. The ACDC and Connections Online have been my best experiences.

Glad to hear it. I was heartened by the fact that we didn't really need the code of conduct for the conventions that's pretty much no one had violated it even before we wrote it out
-
Was the T2K session at ACDC recorded?
-
Was the T2K session at ACDC recorded?
It was not. Sorry.
We don't require the GMs to stream/record, although we do ask them to
-
I'm not complaining at all, just would have been interesting to check out. I'm not a huuuge fan of watching other people roleplay, so only do it in very tiny quantities anyway.
-

I wasn't treating it as a complaint 8)
I agree it'd be interesting.
