Some of you old folks (like me) might appreciate this game...
Been following it in several solo gamer posts on FB. In this, you play a character/characters looking to end the threat of monsters to a quaint little town. The monsters are all classic horror movie ones - Dracula, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Wolfman, and Creature From The Black Lagoon. The number of players determines the number of monsters out there, whom are going around grabbing up villagers. Each monster has a unique way of getting rid of them (e.g. with Dracula you have to destroy all four of his coffins, then defeat him directly). Everyone that has it says it's great fun and it's rated 7.9 over at BGG, so this should be interesting.
Yes, I ordered it. Yes, it will be here today. Yes, it was free with my survey credits. :)
This video does a commendable job of describing the game's set-up and how it plays.

Well, after completing all of those reviews that were due, you earned it! :P

Says the guy that doesn't, you know, write reviews... :2funny:

But yes, that hoard I was just sent has priority.
We're starting up a game group that'll be going once my dining room table is finished here in a week or two. I'm just trying to get together games that a group can cooperatively play and/or be played solo.

And how exactly is this a pre-gunpowder game? Asking for a friend.

Wasn't quite sure, but it seemed to me the theme is from pre-1650, say Middle Ages, but I could be wrong. Not that you guys would tell me I was wrong about anything, perish the thought.

Probably should be in the Fantasy sub-forum. I'll let Brant move it. Moving threads is one of the few joys in his life.
-
...maybe we should encase it in pebbled concrete first.
-
that could be rocky

Maybe I did that subconsciously on purpose then, to give Brant something happy to do today. Not to do so would be igneous of us.

Its OK, we're hardened to puns like that.
-
we've laid a solid foundation
-
Which we must now reinforce.
-
Any more puns and MD's gonna bury us in a cementary.
-
We'd better not aggregate him any more.
-
The drier this pun humor gets though, the harder it gets.
-
Yep, I give in. I'm off to get plastered.
-
Solid!
-
And we're not going to get prestressed about it.
-
We bought these jokes at the pun store - they were having a great shale.
-
And a big hello to Sean Connery - here to help us cement the friendship.
..or should that be 'shement'
-
If we run out of puns, it just wasn't cement to happen.

<cough, cough>
-
Double cough cough
Technically the usage is pronounced differently
Ergo, acceptable
And how dare you trip up this lovely thread that might give the pun haters a headache
LOL
