I think just the juxtaposition of those two extremes will grab some attention.  There's a couple of us that are fans of that CWGH (Cold War Goes Hot) scenarios who would be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Geek did you progress far enough in Manor Lords to try out combat?

I did - at a stretch it’s total war - rock paper scissors

Line up your archers, defend with spearmen and have swords on the flanks for the big punch

Like BH said once it kicks off it’s a giant melee

The big difference is you’ve made every shield, every bow and every axe and whoever doesn’t come back isn’t working the fields or industry

TLDR nothing above or beyond total war

I've played Manor Lords for about 16 hours. To me it's still a bit rough and like 'Geek I'm waiting for some more fixes before playing more.
The combat was a bit... underwhelming to me. Just a gaggle of guys in a big punch up. Now that might have been my selection troops in a very early battle  but still. Again awaiting some more polish.
