Splitting off the discussion of Hood Strikes North from the other thread

To my knowledge, t.here is no treatment in a game.  What could make a great game would be the campaigns of the Army of the Tennessee.
From Bragg's invasion of Kentucky, Perryville, Stones River, Tullahoma campaign, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and the Atlanta campaign.
So many exciting moments that are ignored because of the foci on the East and on Grant.

would this scratch that itch?

Hood Strikes North slipped under the radar.  Thanks, will check it out.
I think the invasion of Kentucky would make a neat game.

The 1862 Kentucky campaign could be a great game for GCACW.  However, there is the question of scale of the game.  The Kentucky Campaign was fought from Bowling Green, Kentucky to near Cumberland Gap, Kentucky, for the east to west boundries.  The north-south boundries were from northern Tennessee to the Ohio River.   This could be a game that would require 6 to 8 maps, depending on where and when you start the campaign.
I do agree it should be done, but it would be a much larger game than "Hood Strikes North"
