The format I'm thinking of would be four-player divisions with division champions advancing to a playoff. The scenario to play would be assigned in the schedule, the side would be determined (with rules for a 'bid') by the two players when beginning the game.
Players could play the game by Vassal, TTS, live over video, or in person--the intent would be to give two weeks of time for finishing one round of games (if three is necessary--that's fine as long as I know that before scheduling). When the match is done, players can report the result here--and I would update standings. -->Just as cool would be if write-ups/AAR could be written for other people interested in the game.
With three matches, regular season would take up six weeks. Depending on the number of divisions, there would be another two weeks per playoff round, potentially taking another two months.
This is something I haven't tried before--so I suspect there will be bugs and kinks along the way--but I think this is worthwhile to try...and then possibly figure out a trophy or something for an eventual champion.
