Steam link

So this just launched - full release, even! I had it wishlisted but didn't pay much attention before because you never know how long it takes for games to release these days. Now that I look closer at it, I'm not sure there's much of a strategy layer, which is a bummer. I loved the earlier King Arthur games that were as much strategy as they were RPG, but this one seems heavily focused on the RPG. I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but for now it's not the instabuy I assumed it would be.

Anyone else interested?

They lost me as soon it became clear this was just going to be yet another "dark fantasy" RPG.  ::)  It was the first game's combination of RP, grand-strategy, and Total War-style battles that had always grabbed my attention.

Same buddy. I just assumed, foolishly and since they were using the name, that this would essentially be the same thing brought up to date. What a disappointment. At least I didn't buy it first this time, which I almost did!

Patching it up to v1.0 right now. I enjoyed it in early access, and enjoyed their first King Arthur wargame. The 2nd was crap.

Always do what you feel is best.

Do keep us informed Gus - I'd particularly like to know if I got the wrong end of the stick and there is a decent strategy layer after all!

That's what I'd hoped as well when I first saw this game being announced.  :-\
