After the Twitter poll showing we had interest from at least 24 people, I thought it best to move it here to the Dragoon forums.
So--read everything and then if you are still interested---make a comment here and we can get things up and running--maybe even before Origins!!!

The format I'm thinking of would be four-player divisions with division champions advancing to a playoff. The scenario to play would be assigned in the schedule, the side would be determined (with rules for a 'bid') by the two players when beginning the game.
Players could play the game by Vassal, TTS, live over video, or in person--the intent would be to give two weeks of time for finishing one round of games (if three is necessary--that's fine as long as I know that before scheduling). When the match is done, players can report the result here--and I would update standings. -->Just as cool would be if write-ups/AAR could be written for other people interested in the game.
With three matches, regular season would take up six weeks. Depending on the number of divisions, there would be another two weeks per playoff round, potentially taking another two months.
This is something I haven't tried before--so I suspect there will be bugs and kinks along the way--but I think this is worthwhile to try...and then possibly figure out a trophy or something for an eventual champion.

Okay--up to 6 people. I want to give it until next week. If we get to 8, we can create two four-team divisions.
Vassal looks to be the preferred method, too.

I have heard from someone who has 2-3 people interested, but they are struggling with getting into the forums/joining AD.
Once that gets squared away, we'll get a-rollin'.

if there's ever an issue, someone let me, or BBMike, know right away. We approve and send emails from the admin console and get it done pretty quick.
Sometimes our security protocols are a little.... 'overzealous', especially if there are a bunch of sign-ups at the same time.

You're welcome--setting the admin stuff up is stuff I did as part of my regular job for 15+ years. The tech side of things...not so much.

If all players could please make sure to join the Armchair Dragoons Discord server, and then check in this room: https://discord.gg/ZGCVsZKa where I've placed the link to the official LC google drive, which has some saved game files for use with the google drive's version 0-6-1 of the Vassal Module, which I would strongly advise to use, as the two save files are compatible with it, and its got the Event Cards intact; in case for this tourney play we enact those in some of the final matches.

I was told that deadlines, etc, would be the tough part of a formal league--so moving forward, if there are suggestions for timeliness, they would be appreciated (whether in the league or not).

I have not seen results posted here or on Discord. The only result known is a draw between PR/RAK.

I think the timelines are fine. Seems like just organic pains from organizing something long distance. I'm in no rush and don't mind being patient for others to finish their games.

Esdevium carries the Foundation--so they have it/had it and will with the 2nd ed. as well.
