Folks are mostly unaware of nazi groups in america before WWII.
They had built up quite a following.

Another Yikes should go out for all of the people that were apparently unaware that there were pro-nazi groups in the US before WWII.  ::)

I knew about them. I'm just surprised somebody was able to pull together such a vivid movie of it all

About a half hour from me in northern NJ there is now a farmers market, park and gov buildings where there once was a  Nazi Summer camp.

And of course, the swastika symbol has been around for a very long time, and was a sign of peace until you-know-who got his hands on it.

Well, I didn't mean YOU. I mean, I suspect most people on these forums know a little bit about history.  8)

Bawb, in regards to the swastika, Al Nofi, Strategy & Tactics, put out an interesting factoid.
Apparently, Kaiser Wilhelm during his time after abdicating, wrote a book.  In it he said that the Nazis reversed the swastika and it was backwards.  This meant it was no longer a Good Luck symbol, and had become a Bad Luck talisman.
Also Wilhelm was unhappy that they didn't welcome him back to be Kaiser again.
There have been some speculation that Willie's death during the invasion of the Netherlands was just a little too convenient...

The American Bund did rallies in Madison Square Garden, I think (didn't look at the OP link but I assume that's what it was referring to), using George Washington as a symbol to get behind.
