Miniature Market has SHAEF on their daily drop sale.  Price drops by 4%/day until it sells or they pull it.

It's $36.35 right now.  I picked up a copy a few months back and finally had a chance to play it a few weeks ago.  It's core mechanic is a pretty neat concept but it does tend to be very unwieldy with all the seperate decks of cards you have to keep organized and keep track of.

My opponent and I both enjoyed it enough that we want to try it again.

BGG rates this at a 4.3 and most everyone says how terrible the rules are. I take it the rules were not an issue to you guys?

The rules are not bad.  They could be a bit clearer and the extended example is hey used was not the best choice as it illustrated the first turn which uses special rules rather than a typical turn but they are nowhere near as bad as people on BGG make out.  As long as you’re familiar with army structure and conversant with western front  WWII history, you shouldn’t have any problems.

Does "coming Friday" translate to: "it is arriving Friday and I'll admire it in its pretty box and shrink wrap and carefully put it on a shelf with all of my other beautiful shrink wrapped boxes?"

How dare you spy on me, sir!

 :D

No, I'm going to do an unboxing on it I think. Maybe not a video as it would be faster to write it up.

Took a look the other day at reviews and the table space required looks pretty unwieldy with all those cards.  Care to share any thoughts on the game?  Is it a keeper or a play a few times and done?

I've only played it once so I can't really comment on longevity.  Your concerns are valid.  We found that handling all the decks was a bit of a chore and the game does eat up a lot of table space.  It also really should have included a battle board because you're expected to organize and play your cards in specific locations when a battle does occur and without a mat or board of some sort, it can lead to ambiguities.  They have a battle board illustrated in the rulebook so it's a shame that they didn't include one in the game.  Easy enough to make one yourself and print it out though.

My opponent and I both felt it was physically unwieldy but we also felt that the core mechanic of creating your own TOE with hidden units in each corps was a neat idea and we'd like to play it again at least once more to get a better handle on it.

Combat is brutally unforgiving, especially for the attacker and we both lost a tonne of units early on before we realized just how deadly combat is in the game.  (I lost the entire French 1re Armee in a failed landing along the Cote d'Azure in August '44.  The Germans lost the 1st Army and most of the 5th Panzer army attacking the Normandy beaches in July '44.
