I get an email saying that Scenario 3 is now available and think maybe I've been selected to try it!  Nope.  :tickedoff:

Good grief, $50.99 USD??  And as the pre-order price (regular is $59.99 USD)??!  :o

Sega must be feeling awfully big for its britches on this one.  It'll be interesting to see how well the game does at release, and whether it can truly compete with the Civ franchise or not.

Go play the free scenario. Seriously. It's freaking awesome, even though I haven't a clue what I'm doing. So many choices....  :o

Just finished playing... waaaay past my bed time. The scenario is only 100 turns long but there's just so much to choose to do it takes a long time to play. No more hitting the end turn button just to get to the next turn.

Very Civ like but nothing like Civ.

^That's damn encouraging, Barth.

Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

Too tempting for me to resist. I've been wishing someone would compete with the Civilization franchise for years.

Appreciate your impressions, Vance.  I'll look at checking it out once I've gotten some shuteye here.  :)

OK, so which one of y'all wants to pen the comparative article that considers Civ 6 vs The Old World vs Humankind vs whatever else is out there   ?

Might be hard to do until Old World and Humankind are fully released. But they are different enough from each other that it would make a good article.
And no, that is not me volunteering. At least not until I retire.... ;)

I'm with you there, Bawb. I might buy one or two games a year at full price, but there are too many sales waiting for the patient gamer  :bigthumb:

I can wait.  At least Old World should be available on Steam by that point.  :P
