Last purchase before Gamers Armory has to close b/c of mandatory stay-at-home order here in the county... I picked up a copy of the
C3i Magazine w/ War Plan Orange
in it, just to have something else to play for now.
Not 100% my schtick, but I thought it might be fun to try something new for a bit, and we'll see how it goes.

I have it, along with the Matrix computer game covering the topic. I think it's a pretty fascinating alt-history scenario. Aviation is less powerful and surface combatants more important.
This is worth reading while playing

I actually don't really like games.

Brant, how much was the magazine, if you don't mind my asking. I've had a copy in my Amazon cart's 'save for later' roster for a while. They're asking around $42.

Scott had it for about 33. They are going to still be open for mail order

if they don't show it on the website, call the store. They've had plenty of things on the shelves in the past that weren't on the site, but they will hack up and ship just about anything to you

Thanks. The price with shipping works out to about a dollar more from Games Armory, but they'd get it done faster and they are 'not amazon'.
I've already placed the order.

Barth and I played a couple of PBEM games of it via VASSAL a few years back and I posted an AAR on the other site (all the photos disappeared in the photobucket purge though). I played it a couple times face to face as well. I found it a useful tool to learn how to play Empire of the Sun but I ended up selling my copy as I felt I got all I could out of it.
