(This is the same guy behind Warplan: Pacific, by the way.  So he has a pretty solid rep already.)

This one is high up on my wishlist.  It's essentially a low-fantasy, grand-strategy wargame of moderate complexity.  It's been compared to Shadow Empire, albeit much less daunting (and of course it's a fantasy, not sci-fi, setting).  Curious if anyone else has checked it out (there is a demo available).

Pretty much the only reason I haven't already picked it up yet is I'm waiting until I'm working again first.  In addition, the developer is currently working on adding a random map generator (he's calling it the "Warlords" scenario), which should greatly increase the game's replayability.

Goddamit

This looks great - looked at dastactic last night and he says random maps are done

Every new game I have on a list at the minute lays testimony to great game design and content over graphics and shiny things - I have money for a new cpu and gpu but no reason to buy them!

^I am not an animal - of course I will clean it up. Eventually.

This does remind me a little bit of Endless Legend, in concept.

I played Endless legend a lot more than MoM - 122 hours as against 88.

I still think that Warlock II was the best of that type of game; I have 517 hours logged on that, mostly using the renaissance mod.

The original Warlock I loved and IIRC...I could be wrong...I attempted to play a few MP games with some fellers here who shall remain nameless hippies.

Embarrassingly, I have Warlock 2 (and then Renaissance mod!) and have not played it.

Sounds like it's time to organize some multiplayer games !!

I'm in 5 different Civ 6 multiplayer games with fellow Dragoons right now.

Id be happy to do a Warlock with you. As usual, the problem is the time difference. :(
