I had the original board game version, a lot of years ago. The concept was excellent, especially the naval rules, but there were so many issues with the rules as to render it pretty much unplayable.

Yep. Much better in concept than execution.

My buddy will be happy since he has this on pre-order. He has both the other BCS games and ALL of the OCS games. You could say he's a bit of a fan......

I'll be over to see him on Saturday so no doubt he'll be full of enthusiasm.

I read the book Brazen Chariots by Robert Crisp when I was a teenager. One to the best WWII books I've ever read.

In the interests of my sanity, I'm keeping well away from 'The Last Hundred Yards'

I'm just not a fan of board games at the small unit level like that. Would much rather play it out with minis.

That said, the artwork looks fantastic.

Yes, and, given my love/hate relationship with tactical WW2 games, and despite the fact that, yes indeed, the artwork is spiffing, I shall ignore this game to the best of my (admitted limited) will power.

Nope.

I don't want every detail of the firebombing of Dresden, the Bataan Death March, or the Holocaust, thankyouverymuch  :nope:
