Seeing this picture just brought to mind a memory. Wasn't there a big fiasco after the Liberation of paris about british trucks?
There was supposed to be a three tonner(?) with a three piston engine, that couldn't handle the load. Had to rely on american duce and a halfs and Studebakers for logisitics. Think it was a major cause of the gasolene shortages because the planned trucks couldn't hack it.
