It started back during the first years of World War 2 Online when you could still buy the game in a retail box. Players would save the box and bring it with them to interesting places and events for photographic 'proof' that they were indeed there. After that it became a sort of standard response to anyone boasting about anything.

I admit a lot of my interest in that game came from the fact that I knew very little about the U-Boat campaign in WWI. Zeppelin Raider appeals to me in much the same manner. That, and its following seems pretty enthralled with the game.
