I bought some of Darkwoulfe's token packs (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/9624/Darkwoulfe039s-Digital) at DriveThruRpg. The Space Fleet Classic Crew Packs (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/236174/Darkwoulfes-Token-Pack-Vol46--Space-Fleet-Classic--Crew-Pack-1) are awesome for Star Trek RPGs. :bigthumb:

I regularly use glass gems and some coins on my play mat. It works great. I have a smalll box of gems, coins, and wet erase markers for quick pickup and setup.
I used the 40% off coupon on a bag of these a couple of years ago.

Space RPG Dudes!
This sector generator was built for Stars Without Number but could work for almost anything else (Traveller, Star Frontiers, etc)
It'll generate a small hex map w/ a bunch of systems, and at the top of the map are tabs to cycle through system names / traits, corporations. NPCs, etc
A whole bunch of flava just waiting for you to do something with it.
You can also download the whole sector into a web-browsable wiki format, then generate another one
http://swn.emichron.com/ (http://swn.emichron.com/)
-
^When I generate a sector all of the planets are at the corners and not the center of the hex. ???

Just arrived yesterday from Amazon - character dice
2 d6s for alignment
2 d12s for class and race

That's really cool. I have no use for it so I must have it.

^He doesn't need them and he'll never use them, but they do look cool.
[bbmike rushes off to Amazon...]

That's really cool. I have no use for it so I must have it.
I dunno, there's literally dozens of uses. For example, you could roll them every morning to find out what kind of attitude you should take to the day. (Keeps your co-workers off balance!)
Today, I shall be...a chaotic evil...prootwaddle...wizard.
Wait, why am I always a chaotic prootwaddle?
-
It's been so long since I've played DnD that when I went to the Amazon page, I saw "Tortle" and had to look that up.
I still have some of my old sourcebooks. I got rid of a lot of stuff before I moved but some of it I couldn't bear getting rid of.

Tortles were first introduced in the X-series modules back in the '80s
The picture below is from x9 from 1985

7th ed GW, sometimes colloquially known as GW 4e b/c it was based on D&D 4e.
It was the edition with the horribly-conceived collectible card expansions for varying add-ons, powers, etc

I always enjoy a good map with cross hatching but mostly I love the old school blue maps. Nothing says classic AD&D than a good map with blue walls and dungeon iconography.

Hell, we *all* need that.
About the only thing that's stopping me at the moment, is that I don't care to give Amazon any (more) of my money. Bezos can suck it.
-
That is a pretty cool RPG product.
-
Its really dangerous sharing links like that around here.

You need more than one. Like, one per game.

Time for me to put something in this bag of holding:
Obsidian (http://“https://obsidian.md/“) a note taking tool with a *LOT* of potential as a TRPG manager.
I was a very happy Realm Works user, but unfortunately that app has been pretty much abandoned by Wolf Lair.
Tried several other solutions in the mean time, but none came close of an offline solution with easy export options and/or the feature set of RW.
The great part about Obsidian is that the tool is free for personal use, supports plugins and as it happens severa plugin authors have been making plugins specifically catering to the needs of GM’s.
Obsidian work with MarkUp text, making it easy to format texts easily.
Plugins then add additional functionality like map and image support (with pins to link to articles!), better folder functionality, custom formatting and style , etc.
Josh Plunkett, a former RW fan, has created a nice playlist to show you what Obsidian can offer GM’s and what plugins you’ll need.
-
^Yskonyn, thanks for posting that! It already looks like a powerful app and I've been looking for a decent campaign manager at that price. (And I hope it stays at that price) 8)
