First Impressions of Headquarters WWII from Slitherine Games

HQWW2 rewards good tactics, and is appealing on all other wargaming fronts. What more could you ask for? Is this the spiritual successor to Battle Academy 2 that we’ve all been dreaming about? I think we need to hold off on that level of kudos until we get to see the final product in its full glory. This demo does hint at being a great modern successor to the classic wargame (and as far as I know currently, no developers from that game series were involved in the production of this game) but I don’t yet want to step into the minefield of giving it that gilded prize.

I just can't remember I played a computer war game  :o

It really used to give me a buzz...but now, I just play boardgames.

I'm with you, JD. It's been a while as I've been playing physical board games almost exclusively for a while now.
That said, this looks really good. I also stumbled across this one that looks good: Classified: France '44 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2085370/Classified_France_44/)

I've been restraining myself from buying Classified: France '44.  :whistle: I was impressed by the demo.

Failed my saving throw today and bought Classified.   ::) Lots of fun so far.
