Kinda caught me by surprise, I was checking out my wishlist on Steam when the Summer Sale began. Haven't done any real recon on prices yet but there ya go. Have at it, boys.
-
Oh, bugger!
-
and then killed steam
if i come out and go back in its the normal store display
go back in - summer sale retro look
out and in - normal
it also sees me as logged in but doesnt know its me - wishlist has gone, says click to login, tells me theres issues
can still play games
yay summer sale
-
Always the same when a sale starts.
-
im back
20% off old world - still not feeling it, especially after Martok gave it a partial thumbs down
Nebulous command still tickles me fancy - at 10% off i might give it a go

I could be persuaded if you're getting it.
To be honest I'm struggling to find much in this sale. Kind of eyeing V Rising, Wartales and Monster Hunter: Rise but nothing's a must-have.
-
Wartales looks kinda interesting.

The Steam Summer Sale is always the equivalent of a DDOS attack

Pretty much. I can't even access my Wishlist right now.
-
A blessing in disguise?
-
Same for me, though I did just get an email from Steam listing everything on my wishlist that's discounted. I went through it and wasn't really impressed.
The only thing I'm tempted by right now is that new Borderlands/Tiny Tina game, but I'll wait a few months to see if it gets discounted more at Christmas.

it kind of does and doesnt - its on my list but a few lets plays later and its standard roll up to a place, fire bow at this guy, stab this guy, spear this guy, pick up dropped loot, onto next seed area
-
..when you put it like that............

Same here. Eight games on my wishlist are part of the sale, but they're pretty much all just a measly 20-30% off, which isn't very enticing. I think it's gonna be easy to resist the "purchase" button this time around.
-
OK here's the damage (so far):
Dune: Spice Wars
Nebulous Fleet Command
Star Valor
-
And it ends, when?........7th July?
-
Yep.

Yeah I'm no longer tempted by 20-30% off. I've gone full cheapskate and don't given a second look until I see closer to 50% off. :)
-
I'm holding off on buying any new games until I work through some of my backlog. Having said that, I did grab 2 DLC.
Terraforming Mars: Prelude
Predators in the Mist for Mius Front.
-
There are a couple of digital board games I might buy if the discount is good enough. But don’t play PC games enough these days to get overly worked up and I just bought a couple games on gog during their sale.

Likewise, TCT. I have such a ridiculous backlog of games, that a sale price has to be particularly tempting to get me to bite.

In all honesty, apart from a couple of Train Simulator add-ons, there is really nothing that make me want to spend money. Maybe the new DLC for Gloomhaven, but I've sunk such a lot of hours into the base game (90 quests done) that it just looks like more of the same but with 4 new mercs.

I need to revisit Gloomhaven. I have not played since early beta and there was no campaign at the time.
I really like the digital version of Dominion. It’s very well implemented but it’s a game the wife and I play at the table so I don’t want to ruin that by playing too much. So I might get Race for the Galaxy or Spirit Island which are both supposed to be good digital versions of the games.
-
I also got Gloomhaven way back and never really got to grips with it until fairly recently. Without doubt, it has improved vastly since those early days and the devs have obviously put in a lot of effort and do seem to take notice of what players say. Its a pretty impressive game now and much has been added to it over a period of time.
-
The wife highly recommends Gloomhaven on the PC. :bigthumb:
-
Yep, it is good although at present I have only played the Guildmaster and not the Campaign . Certainly there is plenty to do and a lot of character development that adds much to the game. I'm very much hovering about getting the new expansion though.
-
I'm looking hard at Carrier Battles 4: Guadalcanal. Any comments? The new DLC's?
-
I caved and picked-up Thrones of Britannia for $10 because I'm a Total War Whore and there's no point denying it. :face:
-
Good man! I think you'll get your money's worth. :bigthumb:
-
Weak! Tsk!
;)
-
I enjoy some ToB - it’s underrated.
-
This the first summer sale I have purchased games in several years. I picked up Race for the Galaxy and Slay the Spire for $20 total. Both are fun quick card based games that play very well on my laptop. Lazyboy gaming is where I am at these days.
-
Card Hunter is free.
Just saying 😎
-
I played it a few years ago. For some reason, I just did not take to it.
-
I made it through without spending a dime. Whew!
