Saw this linked in a thread on BGG for the game Panzer Battles: 11th Panzer on the Chir River.  Written in 1989, it's an interesting read on both AirLand doctrine and command and control in the German military of WWII, particularly focused on the Eastern front and promoting personal initiative among subordinate commanders and the individual soldier:    https://archive.org/details/orderoutofchaoss00walt/page/n3/mode/2up
